Safety is built into every part of the Sunny Solar Slide. Key protection features include:
Easy and automated operation
The Sunny Solar Slide can be controlled manually via a simple bluetooth app, or it can extend and retract automatically based on a preset time schedule. This allows for hands-free daily operation while still giving you full manual control when needed.
Over-current protection
All actuators are monitored with a built-in current sensor. If excess current is detected—indicating a jam or obstruction—the system immediately stops to prevent damage. It can then only move in the opposite direction to reset safely.
Auto-retract on engine start
As soon as the vehicle ignition is turned on, the system automatically retracts the awning to prevent driving off with the panels extended.
Durable, all-weather design
Built for year-round outdoor use, all components are weather-resistant and made to handle rain, wind, and sun exposure.
